On September 9, 2025, the WESER-KURIER invited guests to the fifth Bremen Sports Summit. Numerous athletes, club representatives, and many well-known personalities from politics and sports gathered for an inspiring evening in Bremen.

Prominent guests included Sports Senator Ulrich Mäurer, his predecessor Anja Stahmann, the siblings Günter and Feyhat Tuncel, Werder legends Jonny Otten and Thomas Wolter, and former top referee Peter Gagelmann. In a relaxed atmosphere, current topics in Bremen sports were discussed and new contacts were made.
