PARTICIPATION IN THE GAMES OF CHANCE OFFERED BY THE CASINO IS SUBJECT TO THE APPLICABLE LEGAL REGULATIONS, FOR EXAMPLE THE GERMAN STATE TREATY ON GAMBLING (GlüStV) AND THE RESPECTIVE FEDERAL STATE LAWS AND ORDINANCES, PROVISIONS FOR THE PROTECTION OF PLAYERS AND MINORS, PROVISIONS REGARDING PLAYER EXCLUSIONS, THE GAMING REGULATIONS AND THE APPROVED GAME RULES.

IN ADDITION, THE CASINO HAS ESTABLISHED ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS IN ITS HOUSE RULES.

1. REGULATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN GAMES OF CHANCE

The following regulations apply for participation in games of chance:

– Gaming regulations

– Game rules

– House rules

By entering the casino, the guest acknowledges these regulations and pledges to abide by them. The regulations are posted in the casino lobby.

2. ADMISSION TO THE GAMING ROOMS

Admission to the gaming rooms is only permitted with a valid ticket. A ticket is valid if purchased personally by the individual seeking admission. Tickets are non-transferable. Transferred tickets are not valid for admission.

3. PARTICIPATION IN GAMES OF CHANCE

The casino concludes a gaming agreement with its guests so that they may participate in the games of chance. The casino refuses to conclude a gaming contract with guests not gambling solely for leisure purposes. Invoices in accordance with the German Value Added Tax Act (UstG) and receipts are not issued.

4. PROPERTY OWNER’S RIGHTS

As the owner of the property, the casino has the right to deny entry to a guest or request a guest leave the premises at any time and without any need to provide justification.

5. PROTECTION OF MINORS AND PLAYERS

(1) Persons under the age of 21 and excluded individuals are not permitted to enter the casino. Excluded individuals and the persons listed in Section 4 Para. 1 of the gaming regulations are not permitted to participate in the games of chance.

(2) The casino is obliged to verify the identity and age of the guests using a presented valid national ID card, passport or similarly valid official form of photo ID suitable for establishing identity beyond any doubt and to check the data against the exclusion register. Driving licences, company, student and press IDs, credit cards and comparable documents are not acceptable as proof of identity and age in accordance with the identification obligation as per the German Money Laundering Act (GwG).

6. PLAYER EXCLUSIONS

(1) Following verification of identity and checking against the corresponding exclusion register, the casino is obliged to deny individuals admission to the gaming areas if they are listed as excluded in the nationwide exclusion system in accordance with the German State Treaty on Gambling or the casino’s own exclusion register.

(2) Individuals may be excluded who request such action (self-exclusion) or if the respective casino knows from the observations of its staff, on the basis of reports from third parties or based on other factual indications that said individuals are at risk of developing a gambling addiction, addicted to gambling or heavily indebted, unable to comply with their financial obligations or placing bets entirely disproportionate to their income or assets (third-party exclusion).

(3) The casino is entitled to exclude guests who breach or are suspected of breaching the gaming regulations or game rules or who have been denied access to the casino on the basis of the property owner’s rights (Section 4 of these house rules) (exclusion for disruptive behaviour). The reasons for the exclusion are recorded.

(4) The player exclusion applies for at least one year. The casino which has imposed the player exclusion communicates the nature and duration of the exclusion to the individual in writing without delay. The exclusion may be revoked after one year at the earliest and only at the written request of the excluded individual. The decision to revoke the exclusion remains with the casino which imposed it.

(5) The casino is entitled in accordance with its property owner’s rights to ban guests from its premises without any need for justification.

7. PREVENTION OF MONEY LAUNDERING

Casinos are obliged to prevent money laundering in accordance with Section 2 Para. 1 No. 15 of the German Money Laundering Act (GwG). The casino thus implements corresponding measures. The guest declares here that the assets utilized for gambling do not have a money laundering-relevant or criminally defined background in accordance with Section 261 Para. 1 of the German Criminal Code (StGB) and that their origin is of no cause for concern in terms of money laundering prevention. Spielbank Bremen is obliged in accordance with Section 15 Para. 3 of the GwG to make a decision in justified individual cases regarding participation in the games of chance, to determine the origin and value of the assets utilized in the business relationship or transaction and to subject participation in the games of chance to increased, continuous monitoring. Furthermore, pursuant to Section 15 Para. 5 No. 1a) of the GwG, Spielbank Bremen is required to obtain information about the assets of the contractual partner from guests resident in a high-risk third country as identified by the European Commission in accordance with Article 9 Para. 2 of Directive (EU) 2015/849, as amended by Article 1 (5) of Directive (EU) 2018/843.

8. DATA PRIVACY

Before we may grant you access to our casino, we are legally obliged to record your first and last names, name at birth, date of birth, place of birth and address, the type, number and issuing authority of your official ID, a copy of your ID and the time and date of your visit in our visitor register. Should an exclusion have been imposed, we are further obliged to record the start and end of the exclusion period. Your personal data are always collected from you. Within Spielbank Bremen, the respective departments requiring your data for compliance with our company’s legal obligations shall have access to them. We primarily process your data on the basis of Article 6 Para.1 (c) of the GDPR in conjunction with the pertinent gambling and money laundering legislation. Further information on data privacy is available at the admissions desk.

9. IN THE GAMING ROOMS

(1) Video surveillance is in operation in the gaming rooms and at the tables.

(2) The use of mobile telephones and any other kind of comparable technical aids (e.g., calculators, computers, MP3 players) in the gaming rooms for the purpose of influencing the course of the game is strictly prohibited.

(3) Photography and all forms of audio and video recordings are prohibited in the casino. Exceptions may be authorised by the casino management.

(4) Briefcases, suitcases, rucksacks and other large items of luggage are not permitted in the gaming rooms and must be left in the cloakroom.

(5) Animals are not permitted in the gaming rooms.

10. GAMING AND OPENING HOURS

The casino is closed on the days specified by the respective state laws. The casino operator is entitled to establish the daily gaming hours in accordance with the state regulations and in agreement with the supervisory authorities. Detailed information on the gaming and opening hours is available from the casino and via the casino’s website

11. CONDUCT AT THE TABLES

The seats and standing spaces at the tables are intended for playing guests. Guests who are not playing may be requested to vacate their seat or space by the table supervisor if necessary. Players are requested to cash in chips before leaving the casino. The casino is not obliged to buy back chips presented outside of gaming hours.

12. SPECIAL RULES FOR VISITING AND PLAYING IN THE POKER AREA

(1) Players are not permitted to act on behalf of another player or offer advice. Players may not be dealt and play more than one hand at the same time.

(2) Players are obliged to show consideration for the game and their fellow players, irrespective of whether they are playing the hand or not.

(3) The following is not permitted:

– Offering information about active or earlier cards

– Game analyses while play is still possible

– Exposing cards before the showdown

– More than one hand per player

– Soft play between players or passing of values

– Intentionally delaying the game

– Touching the cards of others

– Insulting other guests or staff

(4) In addition to German and English, conversations may only be held in languages accepted by all players. In the case of repeated breaches, the players in question may be excluded from playing for the rest of the day.

(5) Spectators are not permitted at the tables. People accompanying players are requested to wait behind the barrier.

13. SLOT MACHINES

Irrespective of whether played in the same areas as the classic games (mixed room) or in separate gaming rooms (slot machine room), the following additional rules apply for playing slot machines:

(1) The winning opportunities when playing slot machines are shown on the respective machine. Winnings are paid out as tickets at the machine or in cash form at the machine or cashier’s office.

(2) Slot machines cannot be reserved.

(3) Should one guest be playing multiple slot machines simultaneously, they are obliged to vacate one machine if another guest would like to play one of the machines. In such cases, the player may decide which machine to vacate.

(4) In the case of cash payouts (jackpots), the guest is requested to remain at the machine until the supervisory staff has recorded the winnings. The casino accepts no liability if the winnings are paid out to a third party in the guest’s absence.

(5) Winnings are paid out to the winner. The winner is the person who inserts the banknote or ticket of the respective casino into the machine and subsequently wins.

(6) Guests are requested to inform the casino staff of complaints regarding slot machines immediately. If they instead continue playing, it is generally no longer possible to investigate the complaint.

(7) The casino accepts no liability for losses resulting from slot machine malfunctions or errors.

There is no entitlement to winnings as a result of machine malfunctions or errors and thus no winnings are paid out. Payouts on slot machines where no win is displayed or in excess of the displayed amount remain the property of the casino and must be reported and handed over to the supervisory staff.

14. CODE OF CONDUCT

(1) Differences of opinion between guests and staff about the application of the gaming regulations and game rules shall be settled by the casino management or its authorised representatives.

(2) Legal recourse is hereby excluded.

15. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

The casino is only liable for intent and gross negligence. No liability is accepted for damages caused to casino guests by third parties or for lost valuables.

The casino management
